Picking your Warframe doesn't really matter, since you can obtain any of the remaining Warframes -including those from the tutorial- in the game itself. Step 1) Complete the Tutorial and choosing your WarframeĪfter completing the Tutorial, you'll have to choose one of the three starter Warframes Excalibur, Volt or Mag. These updates are of course, free of charge.

These updates are mandatory patches that fix and add a whole bunch of stuff.
WARFRAME DLC QUEST UPDATE
With each (major) update they add new trophies. The "DLC" trophies aren't actual trophies added with DLC packs. This will help you out with leveling up your weapons and Sentinel quicker. There's an Affinity (experience) booster that can be bought in the Market. While you don't need these since you can just delete frames and weapons you don't use anymore, it's always nice to have an arsenal at your disposal. However, since you'll need to complete 10 Void Missions for the Into the Void trophy anyways, you might want to hold off on purchasing this with platinum. They can only be bought with Platinum, or found in Void Missions. Forma is a pretty rare drop for beginners, and at least one Forma is required for the Polarize This and Polarize That trophies. Don't purchase this one immediately though, as it will take a while before you'll can actually use the Egg, and you might just find one in the meantime. Kubrow Eggs are a very rare drop and at least one is required for the Tenno and Hooch and the Egg Timer trophies. Don't immediately spend the platinum currency, you might want to use it on the following:

This is normally bought with real money or can be obtained through trading.
WARFRAME DLC QUEST PS4
(Note: This wikia is based on the PC version, so you might come across something that hasn't been released on PS4 (yet), or may be completely different from the PS4 version). Use the Warframe Wikia for any and all details.

You do need to have an active internet connection to obtain all trophies. Since it's free-to-play, there's no need for a PS+ Subscription nor any other subscription model for the game itself. Warframe is a Free-to-Play Third Person Shooter/Hack-n-Slash game.
